MP Unhappy With Mrs Bawumia Posing With Kumkum Bhagya Cast
Dr Mrs Bernice Adiku Heloo, MP for Hohoe is unhappy with the capturing of Mrs. Samira Bawumia,the second Lady on social media promoting Kukum Bhagya, an Indian soap opera during her trip to India.
Over the weekend pictures of Mrs Samira Bawumia and some cast of the popular soap opera KUMKUM BHAGYA went viral on the internet after she visited INDIA for official duties.
The MP said the pictures Mrs. Bawumia took with members of Kukum Bhagya fame undermines the culture of our country.
Mrs Heloo,in an interview with Neat fm said, “It is good to promote Ghanaian soap operas rather than foreign ones,it helps to protect the nation’s culture and to create more jobs in the film industry”.
The MP condemned also the use of working hours for showing of foreign soap operas. She said Ghanaians must watch local soap operas , she also calls on the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Arts to come out with packages that would encourage managers of the TV stations to devote more time to airing Ghanaian products.
Many Ghanaians has spoken against the airing of these foreign soap operas by local television stations, which has become the order of the day for almost every station in Ghana
